Bolt & Pipe Threading Dieheads and Dies

A key part of any threading machine is the die head and dies. OSTER machines are equipped with either slide-in Oster die heads, swing-over Oster die heads or the X1 rotating Oster die head. All three perform the same accurate pipe and bolt threading, all three offer you the same high quality and long life that the OSTER trademark has guaranteed since 1893.

Quad II / Quadversal (Right-Hand Only) Die Adjustment Lever 

QUADVERSAL QUICK-OPENING, fully adjustable with built-in blade type Reamer and quick open-close Die Adjustment LEVER. Handles all American Standard pipe threads within its range simply by changing and adjusting dies. (Threads 1” thru 2” pipe without die change). Bolt threads require change for each size and pitch, right-hand only. QUADVERSAL Oster Dieheads use Symbol QUAD Oster Dies.

Universal (Right- and Left-Hand) Die Adjustment Lever

UNIVERSAL QUICK-OPENING, fully adjustable with built-in blade type Reamer and quick open-close Die Adjustment LEVER. The best diehead available that will handle the full range of both RIGHT- and LEFT-Hand Pipe and Bolt threads! Each set of Oster pipe dies will thread two sizes (except 1/8”). Oster bolt dies are one set to a size. UNIVERSAL Oster Dieheads use Symbol 300 Dies.

“SWING-OVER”  Automatic Opening Style Dieheads

These patented Oster Dieheads are equipped with an accurate, hardened trip trigger which opens the head automatically when a standard length pipe thread has been cut. They also have the “Flow-thru-head” Coolant System and quick open-close Die Adjustment LEVER. Fully adjustable for over- or undersize threads.

Quick Opening Dieheads

These QUICK-OPENING, “Swing-over” type Oster Dieheads are identical to the AUTOMATIC-OPENING style Oster dieheads but MINUS Automatic trip trigger. Equipped with “Flow-thru’head” Coolant System and quick open-close Die Adjustment LEVER. Fully adjustable for over-or undersize threads.

“Oster 784” Dieheads

Two quick opening detachable, lever operated Oster dieheads cover entire pipe and bolt range. Both have positive locking device and means for adjusting all dies simultaneously for over or undersize threads. Quick, easy die change from one size to another makes them particularly desirable where a variety of sizes are to be threaded.

This Oster Diehead for the OSTER 784 Machine, uses Symbol 784 Oster Dies with a range of 2-1/2” to 4” but requires a separate set of dies for each size of pipe. Cuts both Right- and Left-Hand Threads, Pipe and Bolt.

X1 Rotating Diehead

Oster Rotating, Radial Dieheads have been used for many years on Oster Machines of the semi-automatic, revolving diehead type. They are noted for their simplicity of set-up. Quick, easy die change from one size to another makes them particularly desirable where a variety of sizes are to be threaded in the course of a day’s work. The head is fully adjustable for over and undersize threads and is calibrated for easy adjustment. The die holder is machined from a solid round of 4140 steel and is a separate unit that can be replaced without replacing the entire head.

X1 Rotating Dieheads are capable of cutting both Right- and Left-Hand Threads. The X1 Oster Diehead requires a separate set of dies for each size of pipe or bolt.
